Yes the british did use the divide and rule policy to create allsorts of confusion and chaos in south asia. The invasion theory of aryans is totally wrong because krishna whom hindus worship was aryan yet he was black. Actually krishna itself means black. also they hatched the story that brahmins oppressed others, while the fact is brahmins are the weakest of indian community and are very poor from olden times. Can you even imagine that those who were worshipping in a corner of a temple oppress others for more than 2000 years, how ridiculous. This has lead to a mass migration of 'Tambrahms'( as Aryan descendants) out of Tamil Nadu. The Ist phaze of migration took them to other places within India, with large pockets in Calcutta and Delhi. For the past 3 decades mass migration of Tamil Brahmins (mostly) has taken them to the United States.
